Terms of Service
Effective date: October 8, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Mining Data API, including the REST API at api.miningdataapi.com, the MCP endpoint, the customer portal at miningdataapi.com and the ChatGPT and Claude plugins (together, the “Services”), provided by OS Group International AB (“OreStocks”, “we”, “us”), Garverigränd 15, 131 60 Nacka, Sweden. By creating an account, using an API key or connecting an AI assistant you agree to these Terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the organization you represent.
1. The Services
The Services give programmatic and AI-assistant access to a dataset of mining-company facts extracted from public filings and announcements: drill results, financings, financial statements, projects, technical reports and related reference data. Access is read-only. The datasets, history depth and request limits available to you depend on your plan, as shown in the portal.
We may add, change or remove datasets, fields and endpoints. We aim to give at least 30 days’ notice in the portal or by email before removing or incompatibly changing a documented endpoint or field, except where a change is required for legal, security or data-licensing reasons.
2. Accounts, organizations and API keys
- You must provide accurate account details and keep them current.
- Each organization is responsible for everything done with its API keys and connected assistants, whether or not it authorized the use. Keep keys secret, use the IP allowlist and scopes where appropriate, and revoke a key immediately if it may be exposed.
- You must not share credentials with people outside your organization or circumvent per-key limits by pooling keys.
- Tell us promptly at support@miningdataapi.com about any unauthorized use.
3. ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants
You may connect the Services to ChatGPT, Claude or another MCP-compatible assistant by signing in and approving the assistant on our consent screen. Data tools require an active paid subscription; without one the assistant can only read your plan and usage. Requests made through an assistant count towards your organization’s limits like any other request.
The assistant is provided by a third party under its own terms. We are not responsible for how an assistant interprets, summarizes or presents our data. You can revoke an assistant at any time from the portal or from the assistant’s settings.
4. Licence to the data
Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to retrieve data through the Services and to use it within your organization and within applications, analyses and reports you provide to your own users or clients, with the data incorporated into your own work rather than redistributed as such.
You may not:
- Redistribute, sell, sublicense or make available the dataset or substantial portions of it as a data product, feed, download or dataset of its own, or build a product whose main value is reselling our data.
- Use the data or Services to build or train a competing dataset or mining-data service.
- Access the data other than through the documented API and MCP endpoints, scrape the portal, or circumvent rate limits, plan limits, authentication or security measures.
- Remove or obscure attribution or notices where we require them in your plan.
- Use the Services for anything unlawful, or in violation of securities laws or exchange rules.
All rights in the Services, the software, the data arrangement and the derived scores and classifications remain with OreStocks and its licensors. The underlying public filings belong to their publishers. If you send us feedback you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it.
5. Fair use and limits
Each plan carries request, row and concurrency limits, which the API reports in response headers. We may throttle, suspend or require an upgrade for usage that exceeds your plan, that imposes unreasonable load, or that we reasonably believe is automated redistribution. Enterprise customers may agree different limits in writing.
6. Fees, billing and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown in the portal; applicable taxes are added where required.
- You can cancel at any time from the portal’s billing section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your organization returns to the Free plan.
- Fees are non-refundable except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. If a payment fails, we may suspend API and plugin access until it is resolved.
- We may change prices or plan contents with at least 30 days’ notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
- The Free plan is provided as a courtesy and may be limited, changed or withdrawn at any time.
7. Not investment advice; data accuracy
The data is provided for informational purposes only. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting or other professional advice, and it is not an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security. You are solely responsible for decisions you or your users make based on it.
The data is extracted from public documents by automated systems and may be delayed, incomplete, erroneous, misclassified or outdated. We do not warrant its accuracy, completeness or timeliness and you should verify material facts against the original filings, which the data cites where available.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep the Services available and will announce planned maintenance where practical, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and offer no service-level commitment unless agreed in an Enterprise contract. Support is provided by email at support@miningdataapi.com.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including usage records and AI assistant connections, and forms part of these Terms.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Except as expressly stated in these Terms, the Services and the data are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy and availability, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OreStocks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or trading losses, arising from or related to the Services or the data, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify OreStocks against claims, damages and costs arising from your or your users’ use of the data in breach of these Terms, including any redistribution or use in violation of law.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, if payment fails, if usage threatens the security or integrity of the Services, or where required by law. You may close your account at any time from the portal. On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the data, except for data already incorporated into your own work in accordance with section 4. Sections 4, 7 and 10 to 15 survive termination.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, with Stockholm District Court as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer, mandatory rights under the law of your country of residence are unaffected.
For customers in the United States and Canada: any dispute that cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of written notice will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of a recognized arbitration body, on an individual basis only and without class or representative proceedings. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing support@miningdataapi.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
15. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and notify account holders of material changes by email or in the portal at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
